What started as an interest in Special Education led Alyssa, or “Mrs. C,” as her clients have lovingly named her, down a path toward speech and language pathology. As a state-licensed and nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist, Alyssa strives to provide her clients with specialized treatment to improve their communication and quality of life.
Alyssa graduated early with a degree in Speech and Language Disabilities from Elmira College in 2013. During her time at Elmira College, Alyssa completed a clinical rotation in a high school for children with severe disabilities, which quickly fueled a passion for working with adolescents.

She wanted to further her education and experience in speech and language pathology and became a state-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant. She began working with children 2-18 years old in private practice. She graduated with her master of science degree from Loyola University Maryland in 2017. At Loyola University Maryland, she completed clinical rotations in pediatrics, fluency disorders, a diagnostic process at Children’s National Medical Center, and the public school system. She is trained in Natural Language Acquisition, allowing Alyssa to better treat her clients.
